I'm a big believer in sketching out a rough storyboard when I'm working on a TV spot. It's a great roadmap for the shoot. I've been on plenty where we've had a script in hand and the cameraman says, "so, what's your vision?" Yikes! The storyboard, no matter how crude, puts an end to all of that.

Here's a project that I recently completed, and the storyboard allowed us to go in and get the shots and get out quick...down and dirty. And when you're short on budget and time, down and dirty is the way to do it.
